How to do it
- 1Use the crayons/pastels to create a detailed drawing, applying heavy pressure. White or light colors will show the strongest contrast.
- 2Ensure the wax completely covers the areas you want to remain untouched by paint.
- 3Prepare a dark wash of watercolor paint (blue, purple, or black) and load the brush.
- 4Paint directly over the entire wax drawing. The paint will repel from the waxy areas.
- 5Allow the artwork to dry and observe the resulting textural effect.
