How to do it

  1. 1Define roles (e.g., 'City Planner,' 'Bridge Builder,' 'House Designer').
  2. 2Discuss the essential components of a city: houses, roads, parks, hospitals, etc.
  3. 3Start building the largest structures first. Encourage the child to experiment with different block arrangements to maximize height and stability.
  4. 4Use masking tape to map out roads and paths connecting the buildings.
  5. 5Once the city is complete, engage in imaginative play within the constructed landscape.
