How to do it

  1. 1Designate several zones in the yard (under rocks, near flowers, on tree bark).
  2. 2Give each participant a notebook section to record their findings (Species name/description, Location, Count).
  3. 3Systematically search the zones for 45 minutes, using the magnifying glass for close inspection.
  4. 4Compare the recorded counts. Discuss which zone had the most life and why.
