How to do it
- 1Choose a structure (e.g., a large sand pile) to protect.
- 2Discuss potential threats (waves, high tide, neighboring children) and brainstorm barrier ideas (walls, moats, tunnels).
- 3Dig a deep moat around the structure, using the dug-up sand to build a thick protective wall.
- 4Test the integrity of the barrier by pouring water into the moat or waiting for the tide to approach. Make repairs as needed.
