How to do it
- 1Explain that you will create a comic strip together. Discuss the elements of a good story (beginning, middle, end, conflict, resolution).
- 2Ask the child to describe the first panel. Write their dictated words inside the box/speech bubble and draw simple illustrations based on their description.
- 3Continue panel by panel, prompting them to move the story forward (e.g., 'What happens next? How does the character solve the problem?').
- 4Read the completed comic strip aloud together.
