How to do it

  1. 1Choose a meaningful family recipe (e.g., great-grandmother's bread). Adults handle complex techniques, children handle measuring and mixing.
  2. 2While cooking, discuss the origin of the recipe and stories associated with it.
  3. 3Write down the precise steps, ingredients, and any family anecdotes on archival paper.
  4. 4Take high-quality photos of the process and the final product.
  5. 5Assemble the written materials and photos into a designated 'time capsule' container to be reviewed in five years.
