How to do it

  1. 1Demonstrate basic pop-up techniques, starting with a simple parallel fold (V-fold).
  2. 2Participants sketch out the holiday image they want to pop up (e.g., a Christmas tree, a menorah, a spooky ghost).
  3. 3Cut the inner mechanism into the card base, ensuring cuts are precise.
  4. 4Fold the mechanism to make it pop out when the card is opened.
  5. 5Glue the image onto the pop-up tabs.
  6. 6Design and glue the outer decorative layer, ensuring the mechanism still functions smoothly.
