How to do it
- 1Start by challenging the toddler to build a structure taller than themself or an adult.
- 2Focus on concepts of balance: 'Where should we put the next block so it doesn't fall?'
- 3Encourage the toddler to follow simple instructions (e.g., 'Put a red block on top of the blue block').
- 4Work together, taking turns adding blocks to the main structure. Make knocking it down part of the fun (after sufficient building time).
What they're practising

- Hand-Eye Coordination
- Collaborative Play
