How to do it

  1. 1Wash hands thoroughly. Set out all ingredients and tools.
  2. 2Assist the child in measuring the sauce (e.g., 'Use two tablespoons of sauce'). Have them spread the sauce on their crust.
  3. 3Allow the child to sprinkle the cheese and arrange the toppings creatively.
  4. 4Bake according to package directions or until cheese is melted and crust is lightly browned (adult supervision required for oven).

What they're practising

  • Numeracy and Measurement
  • Fine Motor Control (spreading sauce)
  • Self-Sufficiency
  • Patience (waiting for baking)
