How to do it
- 1Before starting, review safe collecting rules (e.g., only pick items off the ground, no touching wildlife).
- 2Give the child a specific task, such as finding 'one smooth rock' or 'three red leaves'.
- 3Encourage them to carry their own collection bag and place items inside.
- 4Discuss the textures, colors, and sounds experienced along the path.
- 5Upon returning home, lay out the collected items and sort them by characteristic (size, color, weight).
