How to do it

  1. 1Tie a piece of string around the top of each pinecone for hanging.
  2. 2Lay out newspaper. Use a butter knife or spoon to smear the nut butter deeply into the crevices of the pinecone.
  3. 3Roll or sprinkle the peanut butter-covered cones generously in birdseed.
  4. 4Hang the feeders on tree branches outside and watch for visitors over the following days.
