How to do it

  1. 1Gather materials. Brainstorm instrument types (shaker, drum, banjo).
  2. 2Construct the instruments. Secure lids tightly on shakers and stretch rubber bands over open containers for sound.
  3. 3Decorate the instruments.
  4. 4Practice basic rhythms (tap, clap, shake). Hold an impromptu concert, taking turns leading the tempo and volume.
