How to do it

  1. 1Gather a diverse collection of clean recyclables (junk).
  2. 2Challenge the child to design a robot that performs a specific function (e.g., a dishwashing robot).
  3. 3Allow the child to choose and assemble the components.
  4. 4Assist with cutting and gluing, emphasizing safety and waiting for glue to dry.
  5. 5Once finished, describe the robot's function and give it a detailed backstory.
