How to do it

  1. 1Hand out the ribbons and demonstrate basic movements (circling, swirling overhead, making figure-eights).
  2. 2Play music and encourage free-form dancing, emphasizing how the ribbon follows the movement.
  3. 3Teach simple choreography sequences (e.g., 'Swirl up high, then duck down low').
  4. 4Challenge the child to create and lead their own 30-second ribbon dance sequence.
