How to do it

  1. 1First, construct the puppets together, making sure each puppet has a distinct character.
  2. 2Read the social script aloud, modeling clear voice tones and appropriate body language.
  3. 3Practice the scene several times using the puppets, allowing the child to control the puppet that has the easier lines first.
  4. 4Discuss what the puppets did well and what they might try next time.
