How to do it
- 1Decide on a theme (e.g., Missing Manuscript). Adults create the complex final puzzle; teens create intermediate steps.
- 2Establish 4-5 sequential puzzles. Example: Puzzle 1 leads to a book title; the page number in that book contains a coded message (Cipher/Caesar box).
- 3Set up the room and lock the final 'treasure' (a treat or movie choice).
- 4The designers observe and provide minimal hints only if the players are completely stuck.
- 5After the game, debrief on which puzzles were most effective.
