Call for Artists – Imposter Exhibition
An art exhibition featuring creative works that mimic other mediums or repurpose materials, with an opening ceremony in February.
Calling all artists and crafty people! Our Imposter Exhibition is taking submissions! We are looking for art that is not quite what it seems. Maybe you’re really good at making thread look like paint or trash look like a whimsical collage. This show can be your time to shine! Cash prizes available! All mediums are welcome, you just can’t use them for their intended purpose, or the final piece must mimic another medium. A “painting” made out of melted crayons? Great! A dress made from plastic cups? Fantastic! A sculpture of a raccoon made out of safety pins? Awesome! Submission deadline is December 31, 2026. The exhibition will be on display from February 5 – February 20, 2027, with the Opening Ceremony happening Friday, February 5th, from 5pm – 8pm. Artists are allowed to submit up to 2 pieces. Submission fee is $20 per piece.
