Feed & Seed Sessions: Upstream Rebellion

The final band performing in the Feed & Seed Fall Sessions is Upstream Rebellion. Upstream Rebellion was born in the hills of Western North Carolina, where front porch jams and festival fields raised us. We’re a group of friends and musicians who found each other through a shared love of bluegrass — not just as a genre, but as a way of life. From late-night college pickin’ sessions to backroad barn gigs, our music has always been tied to community, storytelling, and the raw energy of live performance. Concerts are free. Donations are encouraged. This series is presented through a partnership between the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area’s Blue Ridge Music Trails and the Jazz Foundation of America. The two organizations began working together in 2025 following Hurricane Helene, when the Jazz Foundation sought ways to support musicians in Western North Carolina. The Fall Sessions continue that partnership, creating paid performance opportunities for musicians while bringing audiences to a memorable regional music venue. Feed & Seed Fall Sessions with the Blue Ridge Music Trails: Concerts will be from 7 to 9 pm. Fletcher Feed & Seed is a Blue Ridge Music Trails site–one of the first ones!
