Turning the Page on Helene: Art Workshop
A therapeutic art workshop creating altered books to share stories of storm recovery.
This community-based therapeutic art project taps into the transformative power of altered books to tell our stories of Hurricane Helene through the visual arts. Together, we join with the many others who are shaping the narrative of our community’s collective experience of the storm and recovery. So far over 400 pages have been created as part of a multi-volume project that has been displayed at the RAD Hotel in the River Arts District and other places in the region. Join us for this workshop, which is open to all and will be co-led by Warren Wilson students enrolled in the Art of Expressive Arts Therapy (SWK2250 & EAT2250). You'll learn how to make an altered book and have an opportunity to create a page for the Turning the Page on Helene project!
