Fall Firing Festival at the Village Potters Clay Center
Celebrate local pottery with live demonstrations, shopping, and community festivities.
This fall, The Village Potters Clay Center of Asheville, NC, is opening its kilns and throwing a party. The Fall Firing Festival, happening November 14 from 10am to 4pm, is a celebration of handmade pottery, the artists who make it, and the remarkable community that has supported The Village Potters through an extraordinary few years. Visitors can expect lots of fresh work straight from the kiln, live demonstrations, food, holiday shopping, and plenty of opportunities to meet the artists who make The Village Potters such a vibrant part of Asheville’s creative community. After Hurricane Helene forced the organization to rebuild from the ground up, hundreds of people showed up to help The Village Potters find its way forward. Now, in its new home at Westgate in the heart of Asheville, the organization is inviting everyone back to celebrate what that support made possible. THIS is a party worth celebrating. Come see what Asheville’s clay community has been making, enjoy a beautiful fall day, find something wonderful for your home, and celebrate the artists, students, friends, customers, and neighbors who helped keep this community firing on all cylinders.
