Christmas Concert at the Saengerrunde
Annual German-style Christmas concert featuring traditional carols, a sing-along, and a holiday market with cookies.
Kick off the Christmas season on Sunday, Dec. 6, with the Austin Saengerrunde’s annual free, family-friendly Weihnachtskonzert (Christmas concert) featuring traditional German Christmas carols performed by the Austin Damenchor, Mannerchor, and mixed choirs, plus an audience sing-along with carols in English and German. Doors at the Saengerrunde (1607 San Jacinto) open at 12:30 p.m. and the music starts at 1:30 p.m., followed by a reception featuring homemade Christmas cookies and a market featuring German and Christmas vendors. Admission is free for all ages, but guests are urged to request tickets online (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/saengerrunde-weihnachtskonzert-christmas-concert-and-market-registration-2002299967102) so the Saengerrunde knows how many guests to expect.
