Summer Evenings At The LBJ Library

Extended evening hours at the library to explore historical exhibits, with discounted admission for local residents on select dates.

From May 27 through September 2, the LBJ Library will stay open until 9 PM every Wednesday (last visitor admitted at 8 PM), giving you extra time to explore history after hours. Explore immersive exhibits, uncover iconic moments from American history, and see the museum in a whole new light, including: The American Experiment: Pursuing Our Promise What We Bring To The Table: Tales of History and Home Austin Past & Present: Through the Lens of Jay Godwin Refreshed Permanent Exhibit Even better, on June 17, July 15, and August 12, beginning at 5 PM, local visitors can enjoy a special discounted admission rate. Adults living in zip codes beginning with 787, 786, or 789 can receive $12 admission by showing a Texas-issued driver’s license or ID with a matching address.
