Family-friendly afternoon featuring hiking experts, nature activities, and a raffle for backpacking gear.
In celebration of the October “Backpacking in Texas” issue of Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine, three hiking experts lead an afternoon of family-friendly outdoors education and activities. The first half of the afternoon includes origami, guessing games, and skull identification. The second half features Pam LeBlanc, Tyler Priest, and Ky Harkey discussing all things backpacking. Local brand Gossamer Gear offers prizes from their ultralight backpacking product line for a raffle. Attendance is free but RSVPs are appreciated.  – Charlie Sharpe
