Candy Cane Lane
A festive neighborhood Christmas light display featuring thousands of lights and candy canes handed out to visitors.
The Story Behind Candy Cane Lane Eagle What started as a little friendly competition between neighbors has grown into a Christmas tradition that our family looks forward to every year! When we lived in our first neighborhood, we started decorating as a friendly competition with another family. When we moved to Eagle, Idaho, we kept collecting Christmas decorations. Needless to say, things have grown just a little since then! A few fun facts about Candy Cane Lane Eagle: Our oldest blow mold dates all the way back to 1960! He’s still part of the family, but because he has paper eyes, he has to stay safely inside. The display is now about 98% LED, which is quite the upgrade from the early days! Believe it or not, we spend more on the candy canes we hand out than we do on our electric bill! Last year, we handed out an incredible 8,100 candy canes! Giving back is also a big part of what we do. We estimate that the display has helped raise around $3,000 for Make-A-Wish Idaho. And this truly is a family project: Ron and Ken handle the setup. Jamie helps with placement and making everything look just right. Brandy handles the social media and shares the magic with all of you! And setup? It takes approximately 9 WEEKS to bring Candy Cane Lane Eagle to life! The display officially lights up on Black Friday and runs through December 31st! Thank you for being part of the tradition and helping make Candy Cane Lane Eagle so special! We can’t wait to see you under the lights!
