West Bench Farmers Market
A community market featuring international flair, fresh produce, and local goods in the West Bench neighborhood.
The West Bench Farmers Market was born from an idea put forward by two local nonprofits, Global Lounge and Global Gardens . With overlapping missions, the organizations believed Boise was ready for a new farmers market — one with an international flair — located in the West Bench neighborhood. As a result, Global Gardens applied for and received a sizable USDA grant to help launch the market, with plans to gradually transfer more ownership responsibilities to Global Lounge. The market’s primary goal is to provide a fresh food resource to a diverse community while creating economic opportunities for small-scale producers of ethnic goods and produce. Operating from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, June through September, at 3085 N. Cole Road
