Parallel Paths: An Interactive Black and Indigenous Gallery of Joy
An interactive art exhibition celebrating Black and Indigenous joy, resilience, and creativity through community participation.
Parallel Paths brings together Native, Indigenous, and Black diaspora artists, students, and community members in a celebration of creativity, resilience, and collective imagination. Through visual art, storytelling, and interactive experiences, the exhibition explores how joy has served as a powerful form of resistance across generations. While our histories and cultures are distinct, they are connected through shared experiences of survival, cultural preservation, and the ongoing pursuit of self-determination. This gallery invites visitors to engage not only as observers but as participants. Featuring works by artists alongside student and community contributions, Parallel Paths creates space for reflection, dialogue, and connection. Together, these works honor the strength of our ancestors, celebrate the vibrancy of our communities, and envision futures rooted in creativity, solidarity, and hope.
