Asian Lantern Festival: Wildlife Wonderland Begins

A glowing display of hundreds of hand-crafted silk animal lanterns with interactive displays throughout the zoo.

All new lanterns, all new experience! The Asian Lantern Festival is back with a collection of never-before-seen, hand-crafted silk lanterns! In the Wildlife Wonderland, you’ll discover dashing leopards, charging elephants, sleeping koalas, playful panda bears and even a few dinosaurs! Hundreds of glowing lanterns create nearly 50 distinct scenes across the Zoo, and interactive displays like swings and seesaws add to the fun. Extra Festival Dates! The Asian Lantern Festival is open Wednesday through Sunday evenings, but we’re opening up some extra dates around the holidays! The festival will be open on: The entire week of Thanksgiving, including Thanksgiving Day (November 22-28) The entire week of Christmas EXCEPT Christmas Day (December 20-26, excluding December 25) The entire week of New Year’s, including New Year’s Day (December 27 – January 2)
