A major full-distance triathlon featuring a swim, bike, and run course through downtown Chattanooga and the surrounding countryside.
IRONMAN Chattanooga returns to the Scenic City, bringing more than 2,500 athletes from around the world to take on a full-distance triathlon: a 2.4-mile swim in the Tennessee River, a 111.8-mile bike ride through the surrounding countryside, and a 26.2-mile run finishing along the riverfront. Spectators can cheer athletes on throughout downtown Chattanooga, with the best views near the swim start and the finish line downtown. It's one of the biggest single-day sporting events the city hosts each year.
