A volunteer-led prayer walk through the city to commemorate Chattanooga's history and pray for the community.

On December 20, 1839, the Tennessee General Assembly incorporated the Town of Chattanooga. In 1816, brothers John and Lewis Ross established the settlement of Ross's Landing here, a trading post consisting of a warehouse, and ferry landing site. This is going to be an organic and volunteer-led initiative to invite every Christian in the city to step out and pray as you “walk the block” on Dec. 20th at 11am.3 Ways to Be Involved:On your own: step out of your home, office, shopping center, wherever you are, and walk the city block and pray!Walk with others: join a group at John Ross’s landing at 11:00 am to walk 1.2 miles from the landing to the heart of the city. Rather than a government building, we will convene at the church ruins of the First Methodist Church (now Old Stone Church Tower). We will ask God to refresh and rebuild His Church in this city. With others, no walk: If you can’t walk a long distance, but want to pray with others, join us at the First Methodist Church (now Old Stone Church Tower) ruins at 11:45am and you can pray with us.Please sign-up so we know to look for you. You can sign up by emailing Elise Brandon at: elise@praychattanooga.com.
