Hartford HealthCare Community 5K
A community 5K run and walk along the riverfront with awards for various age groups.
Run for the river in the 4th Annual <a href="https://hartfordhealthcare.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hartford HealthCare</a> Community 5K in partnership with Riverfront Recapture on Saturday, September 26, 2026! This 5K will begin and end at the Hartford HealthCare Community Stage at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza in Hartford, running along the Connecticut River and through Riverfront Recapture's beautiful parks. *Please note terrain may include dirt trails, wooded trails, grass and paved walkways. <strong>The first 500 registrants will receive a race t-shirt, so register to run or walk today! Register <a href="https://raceroster.com/events/2026/138144/2026-hartford-healthcare-community-5k">here</a>.</strong> <strong>Awards:</strong> Awards will be given to the top finishers in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-45, 46-59, 60-69 & 70 & up. <strong>Schedule:</strong> 8 am: Check-in, bib pickup & registration 10 am: Race start 12 pm: Awards Ceremony <strong>Parking:</strong> Free parking is available on-street on both sides of the river. Paid, convenient parking is available in the Connecticut Convention Center Garage – park on the fifth floor and use the exit on the north side of the garage, allowing direct access to Mortensen Riverfront Plaza.
