Exploring Science Together: Shapes
A hands-on science program for kids 5 and up to explore geometry by building, folding, and experimenting with shapes and forms.
Children ages 5 and up and their families are invited to a free science program hosted by Science Olympiad at Cornell University. This week’s topic: Shapes, Lines, and Other Weird Forms! Think you know what a shape is? Think again! We’ll twist, fold, build, and explore our way through the surprising world of shapes, from familiar triangles and prisms to the strange and mind-bending Möbius strip. Then it’s your turn to experiment! We’ll get hands-on and create our own shapes and weird forms while discovering just how much fun geometry can be. Come ready to build, bend, twist, experiment, and think outside the shape! Registration is encouraged. Drop-ins welcome if space allows.
