Children and teens can practice reading aloud to a friendly, licensed therapy dog in 15-minute sessions.
Intended for beginning readers to 18 Come read to Scout, a licensed therapy dog. Scout listens patiently and enjoys all kinds of stories! Bring your own book or choose from a selection at the library. Have an oral presentation for school or want to practice your foreign language literacy? Scout will be your practice audience! Reading sessions are 15 minutes per child or teen. Call the Northside Children's Desk at 434-973-7893 ext. 5 to sign up for a time slot.
