Madison Jazz Workshop & Jam
A monthly jazz workshop followed by an open jam session for all ages and skill levels.
4th Sundays at COPA 3:30 – 4:30pm Workshop An instructor will teach tools for improvising over one or more of the selected songs. 4:30 – 6:30pm Jazz Jam Session Each jam will start with everyone in the workshop playing the “workshopped” song(s). We use a sign-up sheet so that everyone has the opportunity to step on stage and play a song they’re comfortable with. Come bring your friends and be ready to sit in and create some music together. All ages and abilities welcome. Bring your instruments, Bring your family and friends, Enjoy the music on stage or in the audience. All ages and levels of performance are welcome! This is a fun community way to explore jazz improvisation and performance. We survive by your donations. Give in person or at our website.
