A two-day series of orchestral performances featuring various youth ensembles and a collaboration with the Madison Symphony Orchestra.

WYSO closes its season with the Bolz Family Spring Concerts, five performances over two days at the Hamel Music Center — headlined by a Youth Orchestra / Madison Symphony Orchestra Side-by-Side collaboration. The weekend also features Percussion Ensemble, Concert, Harp Ensemble, Opus One, Sinfonietta, Music Makers, Brass Choirs, and Philharmonia. Zach Lemke A New Beginning by Angela Batterman Londonderry Air arr. Davis Repertoire for Concert Orchestra to be announced. ★ Special Collaboration — Weekend Highlight Youth Orchestra / MSO Side-by-Side 7:00–9:00 PM A special collaborative performance with the Madison Symphony Orchestra — a first-of-its-kind pairing and the standout moment of the weekend. Program to be announced. Sunday, May 16 Harp Ensemble, Opus One & Sinfonietta Orchestras 12:30–2:15 PM Opus One Deep River arr. Carrie Lane Gruselle Fill in the Blanks by Carrie Lane Gruselle 1812 Overture by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, arr. Carrie Lane Gruselle Twilight Ceremonial by William Hofeldt Toccatina by William Hofeldt Sinfonietta Postcards from Russia arr. Carrie Lane Gruselle Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Harold Arlen, arr. Music Makers Spring Concert 3:00–4:45 PM Music Makers is WYSO’s non-audition, community-access program — distinct from the audition-based orchestras. Families attending only this concert do not need to attend any other session. Program to be announced. Brass Choirs & Philharmonia Orchestra 5:00–6:30 PM Program to be announced.
