From live music and delicious food to adorable dachshunds racing down the track, there’s something for everyone—including your four-legged friends. 🎶 Live Music Enjoy upbeat, feel-good music throughout the afternoon. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, relax, and soak in the fall atmosphere. 🌮 Food & Seasonal Drinks Come hungry! Enjoy delicious offerings from Lafayette Village restaurants and vendors serving up crowd favorites throughout the event. Seasonal beverages—including non-alcoholic options—will also be available for purchase. 🐾 Annual Wiener Dog Races One of Lafayette Village’s favorite traditions is back! Cheer on the cutest (and fastest!) dachshunds as they race for bragging rights. Race Registration Entry Fee: $25 per dog Registration Deadline: Friday, September 12, 2026 No late or race-day registrations will be accepted. Limited to the first 50 registered dachshunds. Requirements All dogs must be fully vaccinated. Veterinary verification of Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations is required. Race Day Schedule 1:30 PM – Puppy Division (18 months & under) Check-in begins at 1:05 PM 2:30 PM – Junior Division (19–36 months) Check-in begins at 2:05 PM 3:30 PM – Adult Division (37 months & older) Check-in begins at 3:05 PM 🐶 Register early —spots fill quickly! Scarecrows on the Square Kickoff & Community Voting Begins! Be among the first to explore our creative scarecrow displays as we officially kick off voting for Lafayette Village’s Scarecrows on the Square competition. Families, businesses, community groups, and individuals have transformed ordinary scarecrows into incredible works of art—and now it’s your turn to help choose the winners! 🗳️ Cast Your Vote Walk through the village, admire each unique creation, and vote for your favorites during the event. 🏆 Awards for a Cause Creativity gives back! 🥇 1st Place $500 donated to the winner’s charity of choice 🥈 2nd Place $350 donated to the winner’s charity of choice 🥉 3rd Place $150 donated to the winner’s charity of choice Not only will winners earn bragging rights—they’ll also make a meaningful impact by supporting a cause they care about. 🍁 Bring your family, invite your friends, and don’t forget the pups!
