Musical Notes
An art exhibition featuring works inspired by music, including painting, photography, and mixed media.
Nineteen local artists present a visual musical potpourri, from flowing rhythms, jazz cats and sidewalk jams to clanging cymbals and big brass blasts. Mediums include oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, mixed media, digital collage, fiber, pen-and-ink, photography and charcoal. Participating artists: Ashley Armstrong, Margery Chandler, Sherri Dahl, Dorian Devins, Amy Elmore, Beth Grimm, Deborah Hoch, Keigo Jenks, Jeannette Johnson, David Knox, Ray LaMantia, Jacqueline Rimmler, Leslye Sinn, Connie Swindoll, Bonnie Thibadeau, Bernard Thomas, Donna Vitucci, Ron Weisenfeld and Gwen Yin. Show runs through Aug. 26-Sept. 20; opening reception during the August Last Friday Art Walk, Friday, Aug. 28, fro, 6-9 p.m.
