Sweet Potato Tasting

Stop by this pop-up program for an opportunity to taste sweet potatoes that you may never forget. It turns out there are quite a few more types of sweet potato than the common orange variety most people think of. Discover and taste them for yourself and learn why they are becoming so popular at a pop-up program hosted by NC State's sweet potato research group. You'll be able to sample and compare the common Covington sweet potato with popular culinary varietals, such as the Murasaki, and even get a sneak peek or taste of some of NC State's yet-to-be-released creations. We'll be in the Venture Center Courtyard from noon to 1 p.m. and then relocate to the Reds and Whites by Hunt Library from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. It will be worth the detour.
