Lake Raleigh Woods Hike

A guided 1.5-mile nature hike through Lake Raleigh Woods as part of the Campus Nature Rx program.

Please join us on a monthly basis for a 1.5-mile hike through the Lake Raleigh Woods, one of NC State's hidden gems and Hallowed Spaces. Below are a few things to remember for the hike: Make sure to park in the northwest corner of the Park Alumni Center parking lot near the lake and trailhead a little before 9 a.m. for a brief safety conversation. Parking is free for everyone. The center is at 2450 Alumni Drive.Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring a water bottle. You may also need a rain jacket depending on the weather. Restrooms are available in the Alumni Center. There are no facilities on the trail.The hike will last about 90 minutes, but could be a little shorter depending on the group's pace. Please register if you would like to participate in a hike. Space is limited for each hike. The hike is a Campus Nature Rx program, an international movement that encourages universities and their communities to engage with the physical and mental health benefits of being in nature.
