Autumnal Tree ID
Hike 1.5 miles to learn how to identify local tree species, ending with a sunset view.
Join a Ranger to hike about 1.5 miles on the mountain and identify as many species of trees as possible and hopefully learn a little about how to do it. We will finish just in time to catch the sunset at the overlook. The hike will include a steady climb up the mountain for a portion of it; be prepared for rocky trails and elevation change. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather, wear hiking shoes, and bring water! Spaces are limited, and registration is required. To sign up, call (984) 250-1370 or email eno.river@ncparks.gov. Include the number of guests in your party and a phone number where you can be reached if the event is changed or canceled.
