Carrboro Cookout at the Carrboro Farmers’ Market
A market event showcasing local meats and cookout dishes with samples available for Labor Day weekend.
Join the Carrboro Farmers’ Market this Labor Day weekend for Carrboro Cookout, a showcase of local meat from local farmers. On Saturday, Sept. 5, shoppers can enjoy samples of meat products and classic cookout dishes to inspire their Labor Day weekend activities. Carrboro Farmers’ Market farmers raise and sell a diverse range of local North Carolina meats, including chicken, duck, pork, beef, lamb and bison. Shoppers can pick up a list of all participating meat farmers and the products they offer. The event is free and open to the public. Carrboro Cookout is sponsored by Laser Image Printing & Marketing. The Carrboro Farmers’ Market is open Saturdays year-round from 7 a.m. to noon April through October and 9 a.m. to noon November through March. The market is also open Wednesdays seasonally from 3 to 6 p.m. April through November at Carrboro Town Commons.
