Hands-on workshop learning traditional Japanese bookbinding techniques to create a notebook.
The Student Publication, the College of Design's journal, will celebrate the release of its 41st volume during a workshop with the NC State University Libraries. The workshop will include demonstrations and techniques for guests to practice and create their own mini notebook using Japanese binding, which brings together loose sheets through a decorative spine. Guests will receive supplies and copies of the newest design publication, and they will learn how to get involved with the publication's next issue and launch events. All are welcome to join and create.
