Pittsboro Finally Fridays Arts Walk and Mask Parade
A community arts walk featuring a pet-friendly mask parade, costume contest, pumpkin painting, and ice cream eating.
Discover Pittsboro, Its Rich History and New Traditions at the Oct. 16 Pittsboro Finally Fridays Arts Walk and Mask Parade Visitors can experience the charm of downtown Pittsboro’s social district, including Hillsboro Street and nearby areas, during the next Pittsboro Finally Fridays Arts Walk on Oct. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. This month features the second annual Downtown Mask Parade for people and their pets. First, gather in the Downtown Pop-Up Park at 50 W. Salisbury St. Next, join the mascot as the parade travels through the social district. Finally, enjoy the costume contest and award ceremony on the SOCO patio at 39 West St., across from the historic Chatham County Courthouse traffic circle. Local pet businesses and organizations will be present at the Pop-Up Park. Activities such as face decorating and pumpkin painting will be offered at Page Vernon Park. An ice cream-eating contest will also be held after being rescheduled due to rain. The event offers an opportunity for pets and people to become works of art in the heart of Pittsboro. The event is free to the public and participating artist vendors.
