Black August in the Park 2026
A multi-day community festival in Durham celebrating Black culture, creativity, and movement building with music and activities.
One Sunday Wasn't Enough. We're Taking the Whole Weekend. We could've kept it free and watched it disappear. Instead we're askin yall to help us build something that lasts. Hear us out... Ten years. Twenty thousand people. What started as one Sunday in Durham has grown into something bigger than any of us imagined. This is where culture and movement building share the same stage. Black August in the Park (BAP) is evolving into more than a festival. This year, it becomes a multi-day experience where community, creativity, and ideas come together to shape what's next. Built on the Black August tradition of remembrance, resistance, and collective liberation. BAP is a space for our freedom. You don't have to be from Durham to feel it. You just need a pass.
