A live bluegrass and folk music performance featuring Hank and Pattie with the Icelandic band Brek.
This free event is part of the Kickoff Celebration for PineCone’s Raleigh Wide Open Festival. Music will start at 6 p.m. and go until 9:30 p.m. Hank and Pattie will perform with Brek at 8:30 p.m. Hank and Pattie are noted for their innovative twist on traditional bluegrass music, mixing in influences of classical, Motown, jazz and pop. Brek is an Icelandic band that plays original folk music inspired by multiple genres, creating a unique soundscape that transcends musical boundaries. Hank & Pattie featuring Brek will be in residence with NC State LIVE from Sept. 28 to Oct. 1, offering a variety of special events.
