Pressed Flower Collage Workshop

Create a unique 8x8 botanical collage on canvas using dried flowers and leaves in this guided hands-on workshop.

Join Angela Mason Foster and Debra Singer-Harter at the JC Raulston Arboretum for a creative three-hour workshop that will explore the art of making collages with dried, pressed flowers. Participants will learn how to arrange pressed flowers, leaves and small decorative elements on a stretched canvas to create a unique botanical artwork. During the class, Foster and Singer-Harter will guide you through basic design ideas, layering techniques and methods for attaching delicate pressed materials using matte medium. This workshop is for beginners and those who already enjoy working with pressed flowers or mixed media. Each participant will create an 8 x 8 pressed flower collage on a stretched canvas to take home.
