Let’s Chat About the Stars Paddle
A guided night-time kayaking or canoeing trip on the lake with star folklore and celestial identification.
Paddle by starlight! Everyone can share their own knowledge and stories of the stars. The staff aren’t astronomy experts but will assist in celestial identifications and tell some star folklore. Please be aware that this paddle will take place fully after dark. Paddle takes place at Hickory Hill on Falls Lake in Durham. Paddle lasts approximately two hours and all paddling equipment is included. Please be aware that optimal star viewing is not guaranteed. Trip may run with cloudy skies and informational star program and star stories will still be shared. Reservation/Payment must be made prior to arrival. Kayaks are for a SINGLE PADDLER. Canoes are for TWO PADDLERS. This paddle is not appropriate for children under 10 (children under 14 must be in a canoe with an adult).
