Clues for a Cause: A Scavenger Race

Get ready to lace up, team up, and hit the streets of Downtown Spokane for a cause worth chasing! INW Dyslexia Alliance invites you to Clues for a Cause: A Scavenger 5K on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Looff Carrousel Plaza in downtown Spokane. This action-packed, in-person event invites teams of up to four participants to race through downtown Spokane while solving clues, completing missions, and learning more about dyslexia. Held during Dyslexia Awareness Month, the event is designed to combine fresh air, friendly competition, community connection, and education in a fun, family-friendly format. The race begins and ends at Looff Carrousel Plaza, 507 N. Howard St., Spokane, WA 99201. Event Schedule 9:30–10:45 a.m. — Participant check-in 10:45–11:00 a.m. — Welcome, introduction, and race rules 11:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. — Scavenger race 1:30–2:00 p.m. — Awards ceremony and after-party Following the race, participants and families are invited to stay for the awards ceremony and after-party featuring face painting, a bounce house, and additional activities. Ticket Information $20 for children ages 4–12 $25 for participants ages 13 and older Free for children under age 4 Children under age 4 do not count toward the team limit of four participants.
