A counseling group for youth ages 12-17 to learn social and emotional skills through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a type of counseling that helps people learn new ways to handle their thoughts and feelings. It teaches simple skills like staying calm, paying attention, and solving problems. This group will use ACT activities to help you build social and emotional skills. Each session will focus on one of six important skills: Acceptance Letting to of unhelpful thoughts Paying attention to the present moment Understanding yourself Knowing what matters to you Taking positive action These skills can help you feel stronger, handle challenges, and manage your emotions and behavior in healthy ways.
