A guided family-friendly nature walk along Cascadilla Creek to practice mindfulness and connect with the local environment.

Join us for a family-oriented hour of slowing down in nature—the nature to be found just outside the doors of the Sciencenter along Cascadilla Creek. We will aim to deepen our relationship with the world of trees, birds, insects and berries by focusing on our senses—listening more attentively, opening our eyes to the colors and movement of the season, and with intention, noticing more. About Ann, our guide: From growing up walking regularly out in the woods, then studying to become an outdoor educator, Ann Hoover quickly recognized Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) as a means to enrich her own life and the lives of others. Ann is now a certified forest therapy guide through The Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT), the primary organization that has introduced and adapted the Japanese practice for the western culture.
