Backroads and Byways, Landscapes by Jeff McEntire

Art exhibition featuring landscape pastels by Jeff McEntire, with an opening reception on October 30.

Backroads and Byways is a curated collection of Jeff McEntire’s work over the last several years, mostly landscapes, in a variety of mediums. Since Jeff was very young, he has traveled and explored this country and others, frequently drawn to areas off the beaten path. It is in these ordinary and overlooked places that he has come across the most surprising and inspiring things! Each of these pieces conveys the spirit of something that has captivated Jeff in his travels, whether it was dramatic light on the landscape, a compelling composition of shapes and colors, or the rich character of something old and weatherworn. Over the years, Jeff has worked in nearly all paint mediums, More recently, Jeff has gravitated toward the vibrant color and textural quality of pastels as his medium of choice, so many of the pieces here are pastels.
